Log Home Pictures
We currently have
several homes under construction, and/or completed, in the
Ellijay, GA area. The Kuhns Bros. standard/modified homes are the
Bald Eagle, the Lewisburg (with a two-car garage), the
Loyalsock
and the Northumberland. Then, there are several custom homes.
These homes are private residences, and are in private
communities. They may be seen on a personal appointment basis
only, for those potential customers who are within 6-12 months of
building. (We also have a custom home under construction in
Placer Valley, CO.)

All of our standard and custom models
are precut packages. Every Kuhns Bros. solid
log home is available in your choice of
three package options. Each package provides you with a
specific portion of your home. You may choose to buy one or two of
the packages and then add materials you've purchased locally to
complete your home; or combine all three to receive our exclusive
"No-Shop" package. |

Our
wood of choice is Eastern White Pine, one of nature's most
durable woods. Western Red Cedar is also available upon request.
Unlike many of our competitors, we mill only one log from the
center of each tree. Resistant to twisting and warping, our
"heart-cut" logs are more uniform and true. |

Bros. Log Homes provide warm, energy-efficient, cozy living as
seen in these pictures.
The best way to
protect your investment is to purchase a log home package with
kiln-dried components. Kiln drying controls the amount of
moisture in the wood products used to build your home. Here at
Kuhns Bros, we kiln dry our logs to an average of 15% moisture
content, making them as dimensionally stable as possible. Kiln dyring produces uniform, stable building materials. The process
also kills insects and their eggs, reduces checking (cracking),
and provides a host of other benefits.

The "No-Shop"
package provides the most complete log home available. The
responsibilities left to the log home owner are: land, plumbing,
excavation, electrical, heating/AC, cabinets, floor coverings,
masonry, and labor.
